1st World Cup Match @ Winebar

Woon and I met up with Shirley, RS and Bernz on Friday night to have some 1-for-1 drinks as well as watch the World Cup opening match. These ladies are crazy; they ordered some funny drinks for me that were so strong, we were desperate to see someone we knew so that we could offer them our drinks. (Thanks Genie for helping us with one shot!) Would you order a drink named Kiss of Death or Frustration? Winebar was so crowded with old people and young people; old people (like us) drink & eat, young people stand around and watch people drink and eat before heading to Zouk.

Shirley and I holding the drinks named Frustration. And yes, they were 1-for-1! So ended up with 2 big glasses!

The list of different alcohols in this mixture was so long in the menu, it took up more than 2 lines in the description.

What is drinking without some sinful snacks!

Poor Woon, don't like soccer and don't like to drink

So fierce how to attract gals?

Shirley and her fav SAUSAGE with MASH!

The best way we know to 'motivate' people to drink

Meet Up with Poly Frens

I met up with my Poly Frens, Jean, Gwen, Trina and Sam on Friday night at OrchardCentral for dinner and it was my 1st time there since it opened. I did not really like it as a shopping centre as the layout was a little weird. The shops were all dispersed and far away from each other. But I noticed that there were many eateries and their business was not bad. We tried the Crystal Jade Hong Kong Cafe which was not too bad though I still prefer the original.

I took Kyle on another bus ride on Friday and it was a big mistake. Bus No 7 at noon time was so crowded and so slow. Kyle got restless after 15 minutes and I had to carry him in my arms throughout half of the journey to Bugis. Then he started singing and shouting in the bus. I was so glad when we finally alighted the bus. We had lunch with Shirley at Qi Ji and then I went to Guan Yin Temple to pray before meeting my Mum and Popo at Robinsons. We are thinking of getting Kyle a new stroller now that he is 6 months old, so we went to check out the selection there. We ended at Takashimaya as the selection there was better.

All ready for his bus ride

Kyle could not keep still and almost caused Shirley to expose herself! Haha!

Farrer Rd + Vivo + Circular Rd

I forgot to bring my camera out today! Sigh. This forgetfulness comes with age. Thus all my photos are not very clear as they are taken by my 2 mega pixels iphone camera. Dajie was on leave today as today is her mother's death anniversary. We went to her house for lunch and then headed over to Vivo City for KTV at Party World. Surprisingly, Kyle enjoyed himself there although the place was super cold. We turned the volume of the music down and Kyle was so at ease, he even managed to take a nap on his godma's shoulders. After KTV, we met the Khoo family for chicken rice dinner at Circular Road before heading to Chamber 82 to support Nic in his quest to compete in Japan.

Kyle was climbing all over Dajie at Farrer Road

All smiles when Dajie played with him

Pierson enjoys carrying Kyle

Kyle loves eating his biscuit mashed with water

Feeding him is a major operation; one person hold, one person feed

I am impressed with the Nursing Room at Vivo City, clean and spacious.

Everyone was bundled up at Party World as it was freezing

Pierson and Kaeden had a blast singing the latest radio hits from Lady Gaga & Taylor Swift

Kyle played with his teether most of the time we were there. That was his 'microphone'.

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's baby kyle!

A reminder that I am already 30...

I collected my new Identity Card today and the time has come for me to say bye bye to my 18 year-old old Identity Card. I am proud to say that I have had it since 1992 though I have almost lost it a couple of times before. Many people have commented and laughed at my old IC photo cos the photo is of a young school girl, and clearly I am not one now. So I am rather glad that I have finally come of age to change my IC for $10.

Happy 1st Birthday lil Kirsten!

Wow, time flies! I remember carrying Kirsten as a newborn at Thomson Medical Centre and now she is a year old. It has been a wonderful journey watching her grow and I can't wait for Kyle to grow up faster so that they can play together. Hope you have a fabulous year ahead Kirsten! We love you! ;)
