Day 3: The Tan Family arrives in Melbourne

Once the Tan family touched down, it was a mission to makan, makan and makan all the way. We had plans to eat at Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Aussie, Vietnamese, Western, Thai & Spanish restaurants. I may have left out a few but you get the picture ya. Boy, I have not eaten so much in a really long time. I think since I was preggers and had the appetite of a cow. But I think the weather and the company helped to whet my appetite.

We bumped into Esther (coincidental or wat!!!) at this fabulous Aussie Brunch restaurant called MART. It was an old Tram stop and the food was delicious.

I think Kyle was sometimes confused between Po Po and Sam Yi Po cos they look rather ALIKE!!

Maye introduced me to soy cappuccino, yummy

My lil sis is a big gal now

Kyle with his Yi Yi

Sam Yi Po bought Kyle a pair of Ugg-like boots from Beijing, but he dropped one side on Day 1!! Sigh, that was why he was bare-footed. Haha!

While shopping at the Direct Factory Outlets at South Wharf, Uncle Ryan took over carrying Kyle

We had dinner at Pacific House where we had very delicious Crab Noodles.

I keep thinking about the moist noodles with gravy and the juicy crab meat

Yummy yummy!!!

Day 2: Kyle's first day in Melbourne

We arrived at Melbourne early in the morning at about 7am feeling tired and cold. But that did not dampen our spirits!! Nic, Cass and Ryan greeted us with smiles and hugs when they saw us at the arrival hall and informed us that Spain had won the previous match. They had not slept at all and actually come straight after watching the match to fetch us. So touched! We headed straight for breakfast at this place called Auction Room near their apartment. Very cool deco and staff. They served Aussie breakfast and we had our coffee to stay awake. The rest of the day was rest and relax as we napped, shopped and ate.

Much needed coffee

Kyle slept comfortably while we ate

Day 1: Kyle's 1st Melbourne flight on the A380

I was initially apprehensive whether we had made the right decision to take a 7 hr night flight to Melbourne. I had read in articles that babies did not take well to night flights and they ended up disturbing the sleep of almost every passenger on the plane. Thus I was extremely thankful that Kyle actually enjoyed his flight onboard and slept through most of the 7 hrs that we were in the air. The bassinet was a godsend and Kyle loved sleeping in it. The little zipper on top of the bassinet may have helped him to feel that he was safe sleeping in it.

Bidding farewell to daddy

Bye bye Singapore

Gong Gong made us promise to Skype him often

Walking towards our gate

Children had priority to board the plane first..Cool
