Who do you think will win World Cup?

The guesses are in:

Daddy Wong - South Africa (Although home ground but still difficult)
Mummy Wong - England (Watching how they play on Sat, also difficult)
Marcus Wong - Portugal (Got chance, I love RoRo)
Zee Wong - Spain (Hot fav)
Cleo Ng - Brazil (Recommended by West)
Woon Ng - Italy (Jiayou lov)
West Khoo - Argentina (Good start, good chance)

Good luck everyone, huatz ah!!!

The Karate Kid + England vs USA

I loved the movie we watched at The Cathay. The Karate Kid was funny, touching and had great scenes of Beijing. It really made me want to visit Beijing. Hmm, should I visit Sam Yee soon? On the other hand, the England vs USA match was disappointing. I was expecting more hunks and more action from England and we got none.

We had dinner at The Cathay before heading over to mtp

Woon ordered pizza and cheezey fries

We decided to guess the score of the match.
Nic guessed 2-1, Shirley guessed 1-0. Both wrong.

Bernz guessed 2-0 and RS guessed 3-1. Also both wrong.

Gong Gong Pick Up at Changi Terminal 1

Kyle and I accompanied Po Po to fetch Gong Gong on Saturday afternoon. His flight from Hong Kong was delayed so we decided to take the Skytrain to T2 for tea. While waiting for Gong Gong, guess who I saw doing duty on a Saturday? Haha! Val Ng Ker Yin. She was training some volunteers for the coming YOG. Poor gal!

Gong Gong finally appeared after 45 minutes of waiting!

Kyle's new ride - Maclaren Quest

After trying out a few strollers, we decided on the 5.2kg Maclaren Quest. We needed a light stroller for traveling but we soon realised that all the really light strollers were either non-reclinable or one-fold. So we decided on a stroller that could recline (4 notches), was fairly light, easy to open and close and had a strap for slinging across the shoulder when closed. I know that there had been an accident in the Maclaren where a baby's fingers were severed but they have since improved the design and have added an extra protection at the sides to prevent a baby from putting his/her fingers into the gap.

1st World Cup Match @ Winebar

Woon and I met up with Shirley, RS and Bernz on Friday night to have some 1-for-1 drinks as well as watch the World Cup opening match. These ladies are crazy; they ordered some funny drinks for me that were so strong, we were desperate to see someone we knew so that we could offer them our drinks. (Thanks Genie for helping us with one shot!) Would you order a drink named Kiss of Death or Frustration? Winebar was so crowded with old people and young people; old people (like us) drink & eat, young people stand around and watch people drink and eat before heading to Zouk.

Shirley and I holding the drinks named Frustration. And yes, they were 1-for-1! So ended up with 2 big glasses!

The list of different alcohols in this mixture was so long in the menu, it took up more than 2 lines in the description.

What is drinking without some sinful snacks!

Poor Woon, don't like soccer and don't like to drink

So fierce how to attract gals?

Shirley and her fav SAUSAGE with MASH!

The best way we know to 'motivate' people to drink

Meet Up with Poly Frens

I met up with my Poly Frens, Jean, Gwen, Trina and Sam on Friday night at OrchardCentral for dinner and it was my 1st time there since it opened. I did not really like it as a shopping centre as the layout was a little weird. The shops were all dispersed and far away from each other. But I noticed that there were many eateries and their business was not bad. We tried the Crystal Jade Hong Kong Cafe which was not too bad though I still prefer the original.

Laksa + Nasi Lemak Lunch

I took Kyle on another bus ride on Friday and it was a big mistake. Bus No 7 at noon time was so crowded and so slow. Kyle got restless after 15 minutes and I had to carry him in my arms throughout half of the journey to Bugis. Then he started singing and shouting in the bus. I was so glad when we finally alighted the bus. We had lunch with Shirley at Qi Ji and then I went to Guan Yin Temple to pray before meeting my Mum and Popo at Robinsons. We are thinking of getting Kyle a new stroller now that he is 6 months old, so we went to check out the selection there. We ended at Takashimaya as the selection there was better.

All ready for his bus ride

Kyle could not keep still and almost caused Shirley to expose herself! Haha!
